A study has revealed that most employers do offer their workers flexible hours and the option to work from home if they need to. According to the "Work and Life: How business is striking the right balance" survey, firms across the UK are embracing the idea of flexible hours, which is good news for graduates who are not looking for a nine-to-five office job. The figures were revealed by the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) which found that out of 400 businesses asked, 90 per cent were pro-flexible working. Three in five bosses added that letting people work in their own time had improved productivity within the workplace and in many cases, meant less people had left to find jobs elsewhere. Those employers who were less keen on the idea cited the administrative burden of new policies as the main reason not to offer flexible hours to employees. Sally Low of the BCC said: "The majority of respondents to our survey are embracing flexibility because they understand the benefits of providing it to employees, reporting improvements in employee relations and productivity."
