Demand for Human Resources (HR) professionals is on the increase, according to experts in the sector. A salary guide from Hays Human Resources indicates that a head of HR can now command £3,000 more than last year. Furthermore, there has been a five per cent rise in roles at officer and advisor level, but a lack of candidates to fill them - which may be of note to graduates considering the industry. Speaking to Recruiter, Michael Bolger, managing director at Badger Associates, said he had seen substantial growth in demand for HR professionals. "We have been recruiting in the interim market in East Anglia. There is a huge demand for interims. In the past six months, we have noticed an increase in companies taking on interim people while they pause for breath," he said. Heidi Waddington, managing director at Hays Human Resources, said HR professionals often "come to the fore" in times of economic uncertainty.
