Internet now essential tool in business skills

Businesses using the internet as a staff training aid stand to significantly benefit say e-skills UK, the government licensed organisation.

Research has shown that companies using this type of training see benefits in areas such as productivity, morale and learning in general.

Laura Overton, director of the e-learning organisation, said that businesses "recognise that they need to provide skills and information to people much faster".

She continued that mature organisations that have the internet as an integral part of their training are much more likely to reap benefits than those who don't.

According to research by e-learn2work, a research project funded by the European Union, 89 per cent of the businesses surveyed had an internet connection, with most being broadband connections.
