A new degree programme for Information Technology Management for Business has produced its first batch of graduates. The degree is being supported by several high-profile names, including British Airways, BT, Ford, Fujitsu, IBM and Unilever which provide input into the course. Universities and employers in the IT industry worked with IT-sector skills body e-skills UK to design the course which focuses on areas such as project management business technology solutions. There are 13 universities in the UK which are currently offering the course, with a high proportion of its first graduates gaining first-class honours. Justine Broom, who graduated from Northumbria University with a first, said in a statement: "I wanted to study both IT and business, as I had taken both at A-level and I worked with my teacher from high school to identify a suitable course. "We both thought the ITMB [degree] looked ideal, and both the course and the work-experience element of the degree have been fantastic."
