IT Jobs have remained stable since the start of 2008, with increases being recorded in some areas. According to figures from theitjobboard.co.uk, demand for testing roles increased some 8.3 per cent between the first and second quarters of the year. Jobs in IT support, business analysis, networking and programming have also resisted the credit crunch and remained static over the first half of the year. However, the group has noted a slight decline in the number of senior positions over the summer period, but expects this trend to reverse into the autumn. Adam Stokes, operations manager at www.theitjobboard.co.uk, said: "The good news is that we are seeing stability across IT positions as a whole, with no further significant drops since the beginning of the year – in fact an increase in networking positions is a positive sign that infrastructure projects are still going ahead."
