More graduate jobs advertised online

Online advertising, particularly for graduate posts is becoming more and more popular, according to the latest research.

It seems that going online to recruit candidates is increasingly becoming the easiest and most efficient way for bosses to find staff.

According to figures from the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB), recruitment was leading the way in the online advertising market and was up 2.7 per cent in 2006 on the previous year.

Chief executive at the IAB Guy Phillipson said: "The internet is a hugely popular mass medium now and advertisers are continuing to switch more of their budgets online to build their brands and interact with their customers."

He added: "With consumers now enjoying even faster broadband and installing wireless routers in their homes, the growth of online advertising in the UK is set to continue unabated."

Graduates are particularly prone to using the internet and employers would do well to approach an online advertising firm if they were hoping for a speedy and efficient way to find qualified employees.

Advertising online for jobs, products and services has now taken over the newspaper market thanks to speedy broadband and more access to the internet for most of the UK population.
