Northern Ireland is experiencing the one of the highest growth rates of employment throughout all of the UK, which may be encouraging to graduates seeking jobs in the area, according to new figures. The creation of jobs in the private sector accelerated throughout June, reflecting the strongest rate of growth since February, the Ulster Bank's Purchasing Managers' Index indicates. A total of one-fifth of companies said they that had taken on more staff during June, which was the sixteenth month in a row in which the private sector job market expanded. This hiring was "generally in response to sustained growth of incoming new business, but also in expectation of further expansion of workloads in coming months," the report stated. "Northern Ireland's employment growth rate in June outperformed all other regions in the UK with the exception of the south-west," said Richard Ramsey, Ulster bank economist. In related news, it was recently revealed by a UK Trade and Investment survey that 7,500 jobs have been created in the north-west due to foreign investment.
