The majority of UK businesses are set to keep their graduate recruitment levels the same or higher in 2010 than they were this year, a new study has shown. Conducted by the Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR), the survey showed that 76 per cent of employers will be opening their doors to university leavers again next year, while 61 per cent will make an appearance at job fairs. Only six per cent of respondents believe the economy will get worse in the same period of time, which is a possible explanation for the future graduate jobs boost. Carl Gilleard, chief executive of the AGR, said: "The fact that most employers expect to have an active presence on campuses this year and are maintaining or raising their graduate recruitment targets shows an understanding of how important investment in attracting new talent is to the future of their businesses." The Bristol Evening Post recently reported that the University of the West of England graduate jobs fair will see employers take their place to snap up some young talent.
