A graduate recruitment industry website has been launched by a leading organisation in the sector. The Association of Graduate Recruiters (AGR) has revealed that the new site will feature options that allow its members to customise the homepage with news feeds that suit their own needs. It will also host online discussions and feature downloadable versions of the organisation's bi-monthly publication Graduate Recruiter, while non-members are to be offered the chance to take part in regular polls. Carl Gilleard, the chief executive of the AGR, said the aim was to make its website "much more user-friendly". He added: "It will provide vital advice and up-to-the-minute information as well as a real forum for debate and discussion amongst graduate recruiters." Earlier this year, a study by the AGR found that one third of employers are still actively seeking applications from graduates this year, despite the difficulties caused by the economic downturn.
