An environmental charity in the north-west of England is inviting graduate job hunters to improve their employability with experience in the not-for-profit sector. Groundwork, a UK organisation which sets up community projects and campaigns for sustainable market practices, said that it is looking for young people to join its team in Rochdale and Oldham. According to Rochdale Online, the group's V Challenge helps graduates build up management skills by allowing them to lead community ventures as well as add experience to their CVs. Felicity Hunt, who currently volunteers on the programme, told the site: "[The scheme] helped me to get my foot in the door at Groundwork, an organisation where I have wanted to work since my previous voluntary placement here." Dr Mary Dengler, deputy director of the MSc course in sustainability and management at the University of London, recently told the Independent that businesses are increasingly looking for people to take up graduate jobs in their corporate social responsibility sections.
