'Dream' graduate jobs available at Aldi

'Dream' graduate jobs available at Aldi Aldi is providing university leavers with "dream" graduate jobs, according to one former student who has taken part in the supermarket's recruitment scheme.

With a starting salary of £40,000, free company car and healthcare benefits, it is easy to see why many graduate job hunters are attracted to the bargain store, but Francesca Haynes believes that she has been given great opportunities at the company.

"Because Aldi has demonstrated such high levels of business success, I knew it was the right place to develop a career with longevity. From your first day you really feel you're making a difference to the company," she told the Independent.

She explained that she was given responsibility straight away and is now overseeing the operation of eight outlets.

Others hoping to join her will have an increased chance as the supermarket has also announced that 130 people will be offered jobs throughout the rest of this year and 2010.

Graduate job hunters in the north may be glad to know that 2010 will bring increased opportunities for those looking to get into the utilities sector, thanks to Yorkshire Water, the Bradford Telegraph & Argus reported.
