North Lincolnshire graduates see recycling jobs boost

North Lincolnshire graduates see recycling jobs boost Those looking for a graduate job in the north Lincolnshire area may want to apply for one of a group of new positions being opened up at a recycling firm.

Local authorities have signed a three-year contract with AbitibiBowater Recycling Europe, which will recycle plastic and cardboard from the region's burgundy bins.

Five new positions, open to graduates looking for an environmentally-friendly career, will be opening at the company, which will also provide a boost for the local economy.

Len Foster, cabinet member for neighbourhood and environment at the council, said: "By awarding this contract to them, we are helping to provide new jobs for people in the area, as the sorting and transfer of the materials collected will be carried out by a local company."

Rotherham firm Sterecycle is to provide a slew of new jobs, which could be taken up by graduates, when it finishes building five new plants across the UK, the South Yorkshire Star recently reported.
