Egyptian traders 'show key sales techniques' The sales techniques deployed by traders in countries like Egypt can help those looking for sales jobs in the UK, an expert asserts.

Andy Preston, writing for Sales and Marketing, claims the key skills used in the practice at all levels can be observed in the country's markets.

Identifying the importance of being fully aware of what both the employer and client want from the transaction, he says this will enable sales people to maintain the advantage.

He suggests setting a floor to costs and determining the optimum selling price, preparing a pitch targeted at achieving this latter objective.

Mr Preston also recommends those in sales jobs think about what a client is looking for from a negotiation, analysing their motivations and finding solutions which fulfil these.

Earlier this month, author Vince Poscente told the news provider that those in sales jobs should analyse the closing techniques of children.

He states entering a transaction knowing the value of the sale, adding a personal touch and humour, as well as smiling to keep them talking, are all key skills.
