All firms must be working on the sales training and marketing techniques during the recession, according to one industry figure. Writing for the Huffington Post, Grant Cardone, who authored the book Sell to Survive, said that sales training is important because "literally nothing else matters except selling". The sales training expert said that marketing should trump all other strategies for surviving the recession because advertising and product development cannot be done if services cannot be offloaded. Mr Cardone urged: "From accounting to management the skill of selling must be made the heartbeat of the organization and this can only be done through consistent and daily sales training where the group is reminded daily that selling is everyone's job and the only way out!" Businesses looking to take advantage of the benefits of sales training may wish to look at the new Retail Banking eLearning QuickSkills course offered by Richardson.
