FMCG jobs still available at Aldi

FMCG jobs still available at Aldi Those looking to secure a graduate job in retail may wish to follow in the footsteps of one Aldi employee from the south-east who now manages four stores.

After joining a graduate scheme at the supermarket chain, business degree-holder Karen Walker was quickly given responsibility and the opportunity to practice the skills she gained at university, according to the Maidenhead Advertiser.

The firm is now looking for between 90 and 120 people to fill graduate job positions for the rest of the year and successful applicants could be enjoying a £40,000 salary and a company car.

Ms Walker told the newspaper: "From day one I was thrown in at the deep end and handed the keys for a store. It's tough, but I thrive on a challenge."

Personnel Today recently reported that fellow supermarket giant Sainsbury's, which normally provides 65 graduate jobs every year, has promised to offer 85 such roles in 2010, an increase of 30 per cent.
