There are still positions available for skilled candidates in the IT sector, according to a recruitment expert, good news for those looking for graduate IT jobs in the current economic climate. First Point Recruitment have said that certain areas in the industry are still looking for fresh talent, especially those with skills in software development and software testing as well as backgrounds in business analysis, according to Onrec.com. Tom Fahey, managing director of First Point, told the news provider: "We advise candidates to focus their attention on the key areas currently seeing an increase in availability. There are still plenty of opportunities for those with the right skill sets." Candidates, such as graduates, who have experience in using programmes such as Agile, Silverlight, Microsoft SharePoint, Scrum and .Net 3.5 will have a particular advantage in the software development sector. The London School of Economics recently said that putting money into broadband, intelligent transport systems and a smart power grid would create jobs in IT sector.
