High-flying businesses use Twitter for graduate jobs

High-flying businesses use Twitter for graduate jobs Entrepreneurs such as Peter Jones from Dragon's Den and lastminute.com founder Martha Lane Fox have been attempting to attract people to apply for graduate jobs via the social networking site Twitter.

According to the Daily Telegraph blog, both of the successful business minds have decided to use the up-to-date technology to reach out to graduates looking for jobs this summer.

Mr Jones' current executive assistant posted a tweet alerting job hunters that her position will be up for grabs, and that an advert will be placed on the Guardian secretarial site on Monday (June 1st).

At the same time, Ms Lane Fox wrote: "Looking 4 a bright young thing 2 b a temp assistant and do all sorts for 6 months - pref 1st job but with tonnes of energy and brains pls."

Those currently looking for graduate jobs were recently advised by Fiona Hewitt, director of design agency Brand YOU, to use sites like Twitter as online CVs, according to the Independent.
