IT graduates in Northern Ireland have a strong chance of securing employment despite the challenging jobs market, it has been claimed. A recent UK-wide survey of recruiters suggested that graduate vacancies could be down this year. However, a survey from the Association of Graduate Recruiters has noted that many sectors are still demanding more staff. Queen's University lecturer Pat Corr said numerous firms were still seeking university leavers with IT and computer science degrees. "The message we receive from employers is that there is still a shortage of well-qualified graduates in these areas," he said. "It would clearly be foolhardy to be complacent in the current economic climate, but it is encouraging to note that IT companies are still actively recruiting our graduates." The Blue Pelican Group recently noted that the telecoms sector is demanding an increasing number of high-level IT staff Pareto - Graduate Jobs with some the UK's largest companies earning up to £35k OTE. Pareto has a unique approach to placing graduates in high-profile graduate sales jobs and graduate jobs.
