A record number of employers are due to set up their stalls in a bid to attract the best talent at the Yorkshire Autumn Graduate Recruitment Fair, it has been announced. In spite of the tough economic climate prompting some sectors to slow down recruitment levels, newly-released figures from the University of Sheffield show that demand for top graduates among some of the country's biggest employers is stronger than ever. Indeed, around 140 different employers are set to attend the university for the fair at the start of next month, with the IT, business and management, HR and financial services sectors all set to be strongly represented. Welcoming the continued interest in graduate recruitment, the fair's manager Michelle Dexter said: "We are delighted to see such a broad range of employers attending. "This really allows us to meet the needs of students and graduates from the majority of degree disciplines, which is great news." Earlier this month, it was announced that a University of Sheffield graduate had landed this year's DLA Award for the highest combined mark in the Business and Commercial Law modules of the Legal Practice Course.
