A sales training specialist has told those in the field of marketing that they should be sure that clients believe what they are saying when making a pitch. When asked to give just one piece of sales training advice, Boomology! author Trent Leyshan said that credibility among customers is "one of the most vital things" a marketer can gain. Speaking to Smart Company, Mr Leyshan told sales employees that the only way to get clients to believe your enthusiasm for the product is to genuinely be passionate about it. "Sell something or be a part of a business that you truly believe in. Being believable is not just getting people to follow you - it's also their willingness and peace of mind during the process," he explained. Delta Point's Leadership Skills Survey recently found that the US pharmaceutical industry slump was caused by insufficient implementation of sales training.
