Businesses gaining confidence following the recession

Fears of a double dip have been overturned

Businesses are confident in the UK despite gloomy predictions, with optimism about their prospects following the recession. Although the economy is going to see a winter slowdown, fears of a double dip have been over turned. This is matched with a strong first half of the year according to the latest quarterly report from Ernst and Young.

The economic recovery is set to gather pace in late 2011, with forecasts made by Chancellor George Osborne that business investment is set to rise by 1.8 per cent this year and by 9 per cent in 2011.

A spokesman for the forum of private businesses commented that focusing on measures to "free up entrepreneurship" is key in the months ahead as the sales recruitment sector looks to maintain strength.

The Sales recruitment sector was relatively safe during the recession; anyone who makes or saves money for a company will be somewhat safe. Back in 2005 Stephanie Richards the Telegraph's recruitment research manager said “Managers are unwilling to take risks with their recruitment and are keeping a tight hold on the purse strings.” Now businesses are coming out of the recession, they want to increase profit to recruit the new young talent hit by the recession.
