Graduate job opportunities set for wind turbine facility

Graduate job opportunities set for wind turbine facility Engineering graduates looking for recruitment will be interested to hear the news that a Wales-based firm is poised to create 240 new jobs making towers for wind turbines.

Mabey Bridge has today (January 28th) announced that it is investing £38 million at a new facility in Chepstow, Wales to add to its 400-strong headcount.

Managing director Peter Lloyd said: "This is a significant announcement which will provide a massive boost for the local economy, creating hundreds of jobs.

"The investment goes against the grain of the decline in the manufacturing sector in the UK and will put south Wales at the heart of the move towards a low carbon economy."

This green jobs announcement follows comments from the editor of an environment magazine who predicted strong growth in the sector.

James Murray, editor of BusinessGreen.com said that it was a "growth" area and that candidates with the required skills would be in a "fairly strong position in the jobs market".ADNFCR-834-ID-19585097-ADNFCR
