Graduate job opportunities could increase at retail park

Graduate job opportunities could increase at retail park University leavers looking for graduate recruitment in Scotland have been boosted by the news that an Inverurie retail park may be set for an extension that could create 400 new jobs.

The retail park already has a strong presence of big companies likely to be able to conduct graduate recruitment including Argos, Lidl and Homebase and any development could boost graduates' chances of employment.

Northburn Developments, the Northern Ireland firm, has confirmed it is on the verge of sealing a deal with Aberdeenshire Council to build a hotel complex and a 100-acre riverside public park, the Press and Journal reports.

Alan Mitchell, Northburn's director, told the paper: "It is another very exciting project, and all within walking distance of the centre of Inverurie. The retail park has brought more shoppers to the town and, as we predicted, that has also benefited existing traders.

"Our plan will give Inverurie a green heart by creating a public park of regional significance."ADNFCR-834-ID-19600703-ADNFCR
