Graduates could receive digital job boost Graduate job hunters may be interested to hear that the prime minister has announced every home in Britain will have access to super-fast broadband in a move that could lead to the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs.

The arrival of this new high speed internet service will inevitably lead to a surfeit of graduate job opportunities, and Gordon Brown has claimed that the move could slash billions from public service costs.

He said: "I want Britain to be the world leader in the digital economy which will create over a quarter of a million skilled jobs by 2020.

"I want to make a radical set of proposals which include transfers and shifts in existing spending, including being prepared to cancel current projects, and which together with more detailed plans set by the chancellor in the Budget."

The most recent Demand and Supply report shows the number of ICT professionals at the end of 2009 at 1,041,000, which is a four per cent year-on-year drop when compared to the end of 2008.ADNFCR-834-ID-19682002-ADNFCR
