Enterprise joins npower and PwC in changing graduate recruitment entry Recent graduates who left university with a lower second degree or less may be interested to hear that Enterprise Rent-A-Car has joined npower and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in moving away from formal academic-based assessment of candidates.

The rental company, which recruits around 750 graduates a year in the UK alone, has begun to assess candidates in different ways and has called upon other firms to follow suit.

It has no filter for its scheme, so students with any degree qualification to their name can apply and even those without a degree can apply if they can prove they possess business acumen.

Donna Miller, European HR director of the company, told the website: "It's just a more equitable way of doing things and it gives everyone an equal playing field. I think we can get a better candidate more suited to our company.

"We can recruit a really high percentage of very diverse candidates and that's because we are not bothered by the degree qualification and we recruit from university."

PwC made the change after the market, in its opinion, became saturated with too many students with an upper second or better degree, but no real business sense.ADNFCR-834-ID-19654188-ADNFCR
