Tuition colleges and tutors all over England are taking extra classes to help students study to make sure they pass their exams
The cost of studying on an undergraduate course in England is set to increase from £10,000 to £27,000, which has seen universities such as Oxford Brookes with 23% more applicants compared to this time last year.
Many universities have seen a high influx of applicants, and with the government setting caps on university places there will be a lot of students rejected from their preferred course and forced to defer for a year.
Principal of Oxford Tutorial College, Joel Rodderick, commented that "They'd rather spend a smaller amount of money now than face the consequences of not getting into university this year,"
This year will be a good time for companies to start their recruitment programmes for apprenticeships with so many students going to be looking for jobs when they don’t achieve a place at university.
