Government is planning to implement a £5billion employment incentive scheme

pay back student loans 150A scheme is planned that will hope to break the people who are long term unemployed

The £5bn will be used to reduce the amount of people and graduates who are unemployed and claiming benefits which is to be the largest scheme of its kind.

The first two years will aim to help two million people, and reintegrate them in to the workplace. The scheme will also offer help to companies, and give incentives to take on previously unemployed staff.

This comes as good news to graduates who are set to graduate or currently unemployed as companies are still reluctant to hire inexperienced employees. The scheme will have to engage all areas of employment, from education providers, government, employers and recruitment agencies if it wants to be successful according to Carmen Watson, Managing Director of recruitment agency Pertemps.

The aim of the scheme is to place these unemployed people into long term roles, which will enable them to become consumers and pay for the scheme on a wider basis according to Carmen Watson.
