A scheme aimed at becoming the primary voice of enterprise education, research and support for graduates was launched today (January 27th) in Westminster, Real Business reported. Enterprise Alliance UK was inaugurated by Conservative shadow minister for business and enterprise Mark Prisk amid hopes that it will encourage the government to offer improved support for graduate entrepreneurs struggling with funding. At the launch Mr Prisk insisted the initiative was an "extremely important venture" before adding that "the artificial divide between education and business is now gone". Enterprise Alliance UK has been founded by three groups - Enterprise Educators UK, the Institute for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurship and the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs (NACUE). Matt Smith, co-founder of NACUE, told the website: "We see this alliance as a great step forward for enterprising students and graduate entrepreneurs, ensuring that enterprise education and research is aligned with - and responsive to - the needs of entrepreneurial students."
