Graduate job hunters could consider Asda after job creation Graduate job hunters looking for employment in the retail and management sector may be interested to hear that big supermarket chain Asda plans to hire 6,000 more staff in 2010.

Across the shop floor and in management positions, the new recruits will help with the opening of ten new stores across the country to join the 20,000 workers employed to full and part-time positions over the last three years.

Chet Kuchinad, people director at Asda, said: "On top of this we are continuing to recruit on a large scale in 2010, with thousands of new opportunities to join Asda this year.

"With one of the lowest turnover rates in British retail, we have an incredibly motivated and experienced workforce and are looking forward to expanding this in 2010."

Asda president and chief executive Andy Bond attributed the continued growth of the retailer to its "unique" relationship with American corporation, Wal-Mart who is its parent company.ADNFCR-834-ID-19629475-ADNFCR
