Graduate job hunters may be interested to hear that pub company Punch Taverns is offering recent university leavers a unique chance to buy into running their own pub franchise. The firm - which has nearly 7,000 leased and tenanted pubs - will make 236 properties available to graduates available to graduates under a new tenancy agreement called the Capital Builder, the Times reports. Applicants be required to invest £5,000 to claim their first pub and become a degree-level landlord, while they will earn a rebate for every pint that is poured to quickly make up for the initial investment. Roger Whiteside, managing director of Punch Partnerships, told the paper: "We're trying to see if we can attract into pubs people who might not otherwise have considered pubs as a career. "These are people who are likely to have the right skills and passion to run a pub business but do not necessarily have the commercial experience or the funding to get sorted." This news comes recently after the most recent 'Talent spotlight' by recruitment firm Badenoch & Clark suggested that vacancies and employer confidence is growing.
