Hull power station could provide graduate jobs

Hull power station could provide graduate jobs Graduate job hunters may be interested to hear that plans for a multi-million pound power station in east Hull are expected to create hundreds of jobs.

The power station, to be established by Denmark's biggest power company, Dong Energy, will be part of a scheme known as Humber Renewables to try and generate enough energy to meet the needs of 500,000 homes, the Hull Daily Mail reports.

Ian Crummack, spokesman for the firm, told the paper: "The number of people constructing this plant would be big. There would be hundreds of people involved although it is a little early to say exact figures.

"It's going to be a major project. We want to develop the plant so that it offers the maximum benefit to the local community for employment and other things as well."

Earlier this week, graduates were handed a boost by the news that 94 per cent of employers said expect either to maintain or increase the number of full-time staff employed in the next year.ADNFCR-834-ID-19626912-ADNFCR
