Pharmaceutical marketers 'should integrate online approach'

In news which may be of interest to those seeking pharmaceutical sales jobs, marketers in the sector have been advised that the future is online.

Forward-thinking techniques for marketing and selling pharmaceuticals offer new opportunities for those in the sector, according to Jane Hunter, managing director for Current Medicine Group.

"Companies need to stop being afraid of an online approach. You lose lots of opportunities to cross-feed when your [online and offline] teams aren't integrated," she said.

"It's time to bite the bullet and integrate, or at the very least improve communication between your online and offline marketing teams."

The topic of online marketing of pharmaceuticals in Europe is the centre of an upcoming conference in Barcelona, to take place on October 25th and 26th.

Meanwhile, graduates who are looking to enter the sector may have good earning potential - the government recently claimed that graduates earn more than £100,000 more during their working lives than those who did not go to university.
