Graduate job hunters considering their options over which big-name degree-level employer to sling their hook on may be interested to hear that PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) was named the most desired company to work for, Accountancy Age reports. The Guardian's UK 300 saw a big of movement in the top few places with PwC going from second to first, and last year's winners Deloitte coming fifth, while Ernst & Young went up from fourth to second in the Trendence Survey. Jo-Anne Coppock, Trendence's UK account director, told the website: "Some organisations will be over the moon at their rankings; others may be relatively disappointed. "However our robust methodology ensures that the results are an accurate reflection of organisations' employer brands as perceived by students. This means some employers clearly still have plenty of work to do if they're to recruit the graduates they need!" This news comes after PwC changed the way it plans on assessing graduates, placing less emphasis on academic achievements and more on natural business acumen, as in its opinion the market had become saturated with too many students with 2:1 degrees.
