New industry data has shown that sales job vacancies have seen a 16 per cent increase last year and figures show that this is set to increase throughout 2011. The data was compiled by BTA, which also stated that sales recruitment in the IT sector shows a 19 per cent increase year on year.

BTA’s director, Ian Harwood, said that these figures outline the slow recovery of the British economy, but also that the business service sector has a high increase of sales jobs for new employees.

This doesn’t come as a surprise to many people as more and more companies are leaving the recession and getting more confident. This means more companies want to expand their sales force to kick start the New Year. This also comes with a recent survey that shows 96 per cent of sales people enjoyed their jobs.
