Graduates finding SME’s have a better work ethic than corporations

working for SME 150Graduates believe they will fare better in SME roles for better job satisfaction and creativity

According to the survey by Give A Grad A Go which surveyed 200 UK graduates revealed that 82% believed they would get better job satisfaction working for a smaller firm. 92% also believed that they also foster greater creativity for their workforce.

Apart from this there was the obvious statement that the larger corporations pay better and have greater benefits, better job security and that the cope for career progression is better than SME’s.

However many graduates believe that the work life balance in SME’s surpasses larger corporations. Cary Curtis, Give A Grad A Go MD said

“SMEs make up the backbone of British industry and will need to take advantage of the abundance of highly skilled graduates leaving university looking for work. Graduates that approach us are often unaware of the fantastic career opportunities that exist in SME organisations and certainly have no idea how to take advantage of them.

“The result is that smaller employers tend to struggle to source the best grads. We find those we place, excel in smaller companies, quickly progressing their careers as a consequence."
