Ashes Tour creates Sparks for Graduate Firm
Leading graduate recruitment and training firm, Pareto Law's living
up to its reputation as Sunday Times Best Small Company to Work for
2005, with a sales day themed to celebrate the Ashes tour.
Pareto's sales team was split into two sides and turned out in
their best cricketing whites, with bats in hand, ready to take on
the challenge of the day. The rest of the company came dressed as
"Auzzie" or "Barmy-army" supporters, wearing everything from
Australian cork-hats to England flags painted on their faces.
Pareto Law, who placed and trained over 700 graduates in the
last 12 months, emerged as the number one small company to work for
in the Sunday Times report, with staff citing a sense of fun as key
to the success of the firm over the last 10 years. One of its more
radical ideas is "strip cold-calling", whereby employees have to
forfeit an item of clothing when they receive knockbacks on the
telephone.
Jonathan Fitchew, joint managing director of Pareto Law,
commented: " At Pareto we always try to inject a bit of fun into
our everyday tasks, from fancy dress to team nights out. By making
the working week more entertaining, we have seen a higher level of
motivation, confidence and teamwork throughout our business.
