Gary Reisman

As Gary Reisman was reading Business Studies at Leeds
Metropolitan University, his course involved a year placement in
the tax department at Price Waterhouse Coopers. Although he enjoyed
the experience, Gary realised that he wanted to be making money
rather than counting it. With his decision made, he contacted
Pareto Law to help him find a career in sales. Two years on, at
just 25 years old, Gary is Sales Manager at Baskind, one of the
UK's leading manufacturers of promotional clothing and
accessories.
Word of mouth
After having heard about Pareto Law's success through word of
mouth, once Gary graduated he submitted his CV by email and was
immediately called back by one of the Pareto team. Invited to the
assessment day, Gary found it to be completely different to what he
had expected. Instead of mundane exercises, Gary was involved in a
range of psychometric tests and role-play exercises, which provided
him with an invaluable insight into the world of sales.
Massive learning curve
Two weeks later Gary was placed with Interquad, an award-winning
IT solutions provider, distributing quality-networking products to
the UK reseller channel. The concept of being surrounded by
his peers, some of them Pareto graduates, in a sales environment
combined with the Pareto training course was a massive learning
experience for Gary. After a year he moved to Baskind, one of the
UK's leading manufacturers of promotional clothing and accessories,
where he became sales manager, at just 24 years old.
