Jamie Hayton
With a degree in Business Information Management from Leeds
Metropolitan University, Jamie Hayton longed to find a career in a
motivating environment. A month after attending the assessment day,
Pareto Law placed the 26 year old at NDL in Wetherby. Nine months
later, Jamie is excelling in his sales position and was recently
asked to speak to students at his old university who are
considering a career in sales.
The first steps to success
Jamie discovered Pareto Law whilst browsing for jobs on the
Internet. Following the telephone interview, Jamie was invited to
attend an assessment day. There he sailed through a range of
psychometric and group tests, which highlighted his vibrant
personality and potential for succeeding in the sales environment.
The sales training from Pareto Law allowed Jamie to gain confidence
within a business context and he found additional motivation from
his fellow candidates, who all shared the same determination to
succeed in sales.
A helping hand

focussed on finding the most suitable position for me. I constantly
received feedback and even now I still speak to Pareto on a regular

which satisfies my career needs and ambitions.
Respect for the sales profession
"The sales
profession is sometimes perceived as an easy option, but
believe me that is certainly not the case. Working in sales means
you are at the forefront of the business so you have to constantly
keep your wits about you and present the public face of the
company. "To succeed in sales you have to bring commitment, drive

respect and success for their company.
Challenges and support
"My role at NDL is extremely satisfying and I have already
gained some fantastic experience. We immediately meet with clients
in order to speed up the learning process. It's a sink or swim
scenario but so far I have enjoyed the challenge and thanks to the

very excited about the opportunities that await me.".
