Success Story: Alex Newman

Alex Newman knew he wanted a career in sales after spending a
successful year on placement with an IT sales company as part of
his University degree. But when the company he was
cold-calling for after graduation went bust, Alex was at a loss as
to where to go next.
Elite Graduate
A close friend recommended Pareto Law to Alex and one phone call
later he found himself at the Pareto Law assessment centre in
London facing panel interviews, psychometric tests and group
activities. But as one of the elite graduates that Pareto Law
promises to hunt out, Alex passed the assessment day and was faced
with an array of job offers to choose from.
A shining example
Alex set his new career in motion by accepting the position of
internal sales executive with Telecity, a leading European provider
of collocation and data centre services. Alex quickly
gathered a good understanding of the business and its products and
was a shining example of Pareto Law's approach, generating new
sales leads in hisfirst week as well as taking on account
management and closing deals long before expected.
Exceeded expectations
Telecity Sales Director, Simon Bushell commented: "Alex
hit the ground running right from the offset. He generated
sales leads very early on, which we really didn't expect, and
continued to do so right through the whole of 2003. He has
now developed into a fully fledged sales manager, handling certain
accounts and closing business deals - he has surpassed all of our
expectations."
Perfect start to a career in sales
Alex says: "I knew I wanted
to be in sales but I doubt I would have found such a perfect start
to my career without Pareto Law. They really spent time
finding the right company to match my aspirations and with their
expert advice and excellent training modules they set me up to
succeed right from the start - I would recommend Pareto Law to any
graduate."
