Meet Jonathan Fitchew, CEO and founder of Pareto.
Jonathan enjoyed an early career in the telecoms sector, building extensive sales experience in his position within GEC before joining fledgling RPL Telecommunications plc. in 1984. From here, Jonathan’s driven and innovative approach to business development saw him work his way up to become a main board director, successfully building the company to a £7m turnover in just five years. Jonathan was a pioneer in utilising a graduate trainee model for all sales positions for the organisation, transforming the future of the business.
In the early 90s Jonathan proceeded to move into consultancy, providing business and sales advice to companies across a vast range of industry sectors and markets.
The Pareto Journey.
1995 saw Jonathan join ranks with co-founder Andy Sawer to create Pareto, building upon his knowledge and experience within the industry to introduce a new concept in sales recruitment to the UK market. Since its foundation, Jonathan has successfully led the company to become one of the largest and most respected graduate recruitment specialists in the UK. His knowledge of sales training and the benefits this can bring in terms of company performance has also seen Pareto expand into the full sales development journey, taking UK businesses to the very top of their game through the use of sales assessment, sales training and accreditation. Pareto is now recognised as an authority on sales, specialists in delivering the top 20% who will make 80% of the difference to businesses across the UK and abroad.
Jonathan's expertise and enthusiasm for sales has seen him appear in a wide range of media, including appearing on TV in the ‘Beat the Boss’ series hosted by Saira Khan of Alan Sugar's The Apprentice programme.
Jonathan holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College London. He lives in Alderley Edge with his family, including boys William and Charles and Tillie the labradoodle. When Jonathan isn’t enjoying playing on the piano or making curry, he can be found indulging his interest in property development and makeovers, or ski-ing around the globe with his boys.
