With over 7000 clients worldwide, Mimecast currently employ over 600 staff globally, with almost 300 in the UK alone.

What We Did

As business grew within the UK, Mimecast needed to focus their sales efforts upon new business and lead generation. The decision was made to recruit a new Market Development Team, made up of driven and ambitious graduates who would become future business leaders for the business: known internally as ‘Mimecasters’.

We responded with a Mimecast-focused assessment day. Mimecast had never previously hired individuals without strong proven sales backgrounds, so it was essential we got the right graduates in front of the management team. We were successful. Due to the high standard of graduate calibre at the assessment day, we delivered not only the 6 required graduates but also an additional candidate. All began their roles within 3 weeks.

 

The Pareto Effect

Since their initial assessment day, Mimecast have returned to us for their sales recruitment needs time and again. A total of 18 graduates have been placed, with future development plans set to increase this number. A solid partnership based on trust and understanding means we are able to find the right fit and be flexible to Mimecast’s needs, every time.

The new Market Development Team placed by us contributed towards a 50% growth in revenue targets for Mimecast in 2011-2012. All graduates have gone on to progress within Mimecast. One successful Pareto graduate went on to achieve the business ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Sales Person of the Year’ awards in recognition of his outstanding sales efforts.

Mimecast have also approached Pareto for their sales force training and sales executive needs. We continue to work in partnership towards Mimecast’s sales future.
