Vice President of Sales

Location: King of Prussia, PA (on-site)

Compensation: $150k basic; $200-250k OTE

Our client is a provider of office furniture and design solutions specially tailored to serve your individual business needs. They are now looking to expand their market share and grow their name within the industry.

The Role:

As the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for co-developing Sales strategy, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, and executing that strategy to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. You will lead and inspire a team of sales professionals - including junior, top of funnel teams as well as seasoned sales executives - fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. This role requires a strategic thinker who can then convert strategy to tactics, and design and execute an operational plan which delivers Sales budget.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Identify new market opportunities, set sales targets, and create plans to achieve revenue growth.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, setting clear goals and performance targets. Provide ongoing coaching and professional development to enhance team members' sales skills and capabilities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team and individual performance. Implement strategies to optimize sales efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts.
  • Continuously improve the sales process to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline sales operations.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and presentations for the executive team, providing insights into performance, market trends, and opportunities.

Experience Required:

  • Previous progressive sales experience, with experience in a senior sales leadership role managing different levels of teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with experience in the furniture industry or with manufacturer and vendor relationships being highly desirable.
  • Understanding of the necessary components of business transformation and sales management.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing a list of business contacts, networking professionals, and customers within an industry.
