Jonathan Fitchew (46) is joint managing director of Pareto
Law, and is recognised as an authority on sales, training and
entrepreneurship.
Jonathan's early career was in telecoms sales with GEC and in
1984 he joined fledgling RPL Telecommunications plc, where he
worked his way up to become a main board director, building the
company to a £7m turnover in just five years using graduate
trainees for all sales positions.
In the early 90s Jonathan moved into consultancy, providing
business and sales advice to companies in markets including
telecoms and marketing.
In 1995 he formed Pareto Law, along with co-founder Andrew
Sawer, and since then has led the company to become one of the most
respected graduate recruitment specialists in the UK. His
knowledge of sales training and the benefits this can bring in
terms of company performance also led to the expansion of Pareto
training, which now covers everything from presentation skills to
negotiation.
Jonathan's expertise and enthusiasm for sales has seen him
appear in a wide range of media, including appearing on TV in the
Beat the Boss series hosted by Saira Khan of Alan Sugar's The
Apprentice programme.
Jonathan holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from University College
London. He is married to Kay and lives in Alderley Edge
with step-daughter Georgia (16), twin boys William and Charles
(5), Tillie the dog, Pushkin the cat, 9 chickens, a fox and 3
sheep called Valarie, Pip and Apple. He loves curry and
enjoys playing the piano and gardening.
