Atos

Atos is one of the world’s largest IT services and consulting corporations with annual revenue of circa €12 billion and circa 100,000 employees in 73 countries.

Their keywords are digital transformation, innovation and value creation, focused on bringing people, business and technology together through digital empowerment.

Pareto initially partnered with Unify in 2014, providing a range of graduate and executive recruitment services and expert sales training. Following Atos’ acquisition of Unify in 2016, Pareto continued to work with them, before being introduced to the Atos team in 2017.

Atos required a minimum of five Vertical Prospect Managers to join their growing inside sales team in Birmingham, UK. However, they were governed by headcount and as such were unable to hire through a conventional method.

What We Did

Pareto’s Sales as a Service (SaaS) model provided a perfect solution for Atos’ recruitment issue. This uniquely tailored approach allows new hires to work for Atos as any normal employee would - however they are selected, trained and employed by Pareto. Pareto created and ran a bespoke graduate assessment day for Atos at their Birmingham office in August 2018. Candidates would be evaluated on a number of factors through individual and group tasks, interviews, and presentations, ensuring they had the sales potential and culture fit for Atos’ growing and ambitious team. Skills we were looking to unleash included self-confidence, excellent communication, problem solving, and negotiation. More than 20 pre-screened candidates attended the assessment day, which was overseen by key decision-makers at Atos.

The Pareto Effect

Once the assessment day had concluded Atos hired five graduates on the spot, with several members of the team expressing their delight at the success of the assessment day: “The event was very professionally managed, operationally efficient and warmly received by ourselves and the candidates.
