Pareto Partner Randstad to Launch Graduate Programme

Sales recruitment organisation Pareto  joins forces with HR and recruitment giant Randstad to introduce a new recruitment consultancy graduate programme for 2013.

Randstad UK, one of the UK’s top five multi-specialist recruitment consultancies, has announced plans for a new recruitment consultancy graduate programme. Together with Pareto, the leading UK sales recruitment specialists, the companies will recruit a 2013 graduate intake to work at Randstad’s offices in London. 

The programme will see Randstad UK recruit graduates across five specialised sectors: Business Support, Financials & Professionals, Education, Technologies and Care. Successful graduates will enter the organisation as Graduate Recruitment Consultants as part of their September intake. They will then benefit from a unique 360-degree role that will see them engage directly with both clients and candidates, gaining extensive exposure and experience whilst actively engaging in every step of the recruitment and sales cycle.

Mark Bull, UK CEO of Randstad said: “For the fifteen graduates selected, the programme will offer experience in the recruitment sector that is second to none. It’s vital that we continue to attract high-calibre staff to the sector. Randstad has found that by 2050 the UK workforce will have a shortfall of 3.1m skilled workers, if skills shortages are not addressed. A new cohort of graduates who are effective in encouraging and placing new talent is one approach to this problem. 

“The hands-on roles on offer will see candidates engage in all areas of the recruitment process. And the selling skills they will gain from training with Pareto will help set them apart as the expert recruitment consultants of the future.”

As part of the global Randstad Group, Randstad UK currently employs over 1,750 people in offices based across the UK. Consultants help match some 100,000 candidates to their ideal roles each and every year. All graduates will undertake market-leading training in fundamental selling skills with sales training specialists Pareto, before engaging in in-house training and development tailored to their individual sector.

Before beginning their new careers based within Central London, all graduates will be subject to the Pareto graduate assessment process, with assessment days set to take place within the company’s Chiswick offices at the end of July 2013.
